• Correcting student schedules for students with: a missing/wrong core academic class, enrolled in two of the same classes, incomplete schedule

Second/third week:

• Add Period: First TWO weeks of the semester

• Drop Period: First THREE weeks of the semester

• Visit 9th Grade Registry for introduction/welcome

• School Tours begin  - Wednesdays thru December

• National Merit Scholarship Notification – based on 11th grade PSAT scores

• University of California application opens

• 8th Grade Night (for interested 8th graders and their parents)

• Deadline:Seniors must add Counselor to Common Application/Private schools before Thanksgiving break! 

• Counselors focus on completing Letters of Recommendation for Seniors

• Course selection worksheet for spring semester distributed in Registry. After worksheets are collected, Counselors will review course selections and make final corrections.

• Cal Grant Applications given out in senior Reg

• November 30th: CSU/UC Applications Due

• Counselors continue completing Letters of Recommendation for Seniors

• Financial Aid Night

• Arena for spring semester

• Counselors will not be available due to data entry/scheduling for spring semester OR for schedule corrections/changes.  Students can see their Counselor at the start of Spring Semester

January

• FAFSA application opens – January 1st
